The requirement for chrome-6+ free corrosion protection coatings existing with the EU end of life vehicle directive led to new coating materials and coating processes. EGELHOF products combine a variety of different materials. It should be noted that the interaction of various metallic materials in a saline, moist environment can lead to considerable corrosion.
In order to assure EGELHOF customers a long service life for the components, EGELHOF carries out extensive tests for each new material combination and as part of customer validations in the company's own salt spray chamber according to DIN EN ISO 9227 and comparable standards.
