Wax Control Elements (DAE)

Wax-based expansion elements, called wax elements are thermostatic control units that convert thermal energy into mechanical energy by expansion of the wax, which is subject to a large volume change / volume increase when the (ambient) temperature changes.

The temperature-related volume expansion of the (expansive) filling results in a displacement of the working piston which can be used as a continuous control function or switching function in conjunction with electronic or electromechanical components.

In many cases, the wax element is used as a direct mechanical actuator.

Characteristics:

  • Compact design
  • High transmission forces
  • Short response time
  • High control accuracy
  • Funktion not requiring any auxiliary energy
  • Long durability
  • Optimal price-performance ratio

Materials:
Copper and brass. Plating on demand

Application field:
Building / industrial services, underfloor heating, faucets, air conditioning devices, radiator thermostats, solar systems, industrial water mixers, hot water boilers.
