Description:
The charge's volume expansion due to temperature results in a diaphragm's deflection. In connection with electronic or electro-mechanic components, this change in displacement may be primarily used as constant control function or switch function. Diaphragm systems are often applied as a direct, mechanic actuator. In cases where the element is leaky, the diaphragm gets in its neutral position and can also be used as safety function.
Features: - charge: fluid, gas, refrigerant, mixing phases
- little height
- expansions from 0.005 up to 0.17 mm/K
- suitable for temperature ranges from -35°C up to +280°C
- linear characteristic curve
- pressure or displacement limitation (only gas, refrigerant and mixing phases charge)
- safety function
- own diaphragm manufacture
Material:
stainless steel (diaphragm + body), copper and brass, various coatings on request.
Examples for application:
antifreezing, refrigerator thermostat, safety switch, hot-air sensor, temperature bellows with little space requirement |
