The pressure switch controls the pressure of the high-pressure line of the air conditioning system. Therefore it is one of the essential safety elements of the system.
Function
The pressure switch is comprised of two switches in one body. The first one switches the radiator fan to the second fan stage if needed. The second one switches the solenoid-operated clutch and thus the compressor on and off to protect the system of possible damages.
The second fan stage will be activated if the pressure exceeds a pre-defined pressure in the line. It will be again deactivated if the pressure falls below the pre-defined value.
Also the compressor will be switched on and off if a predefined pressure value will exceed or fall below a pre-defined value.
Types
The pressure switch is available in both Binary and Trinary type with Low, Medium and High pressure settings as per requirement of the HVAC system.
