Motor actuator
The motor actuator controls the ventilation doors of the air conditioner. The main task is to distribute the air into the cabin and thus also to adjust the temperature of the vehicle interior. For example the ventilation doors of the fresh air and recirculating air and the floor room air will be controlled by the motor actuators.

Mode of operation

The motor actuators are electrically driven. Based on the temperature desired in the vehicle interior the motor actuator opens or closes the ventilation doors to blow in more or less refrigerated air. A potentiometer in the motor actuator sends a signal of the position of the motor to the ECU to detect clearly the position of the ventilation door. To open the ventilation doors the ECU sends a signal to the motor actuators. To close the ventilation doors the polarity of the wiring will be switched by the ECU.

Types

Different sizes of motor actuators can be offered to fit the requirements of torque and installation space of the HVAC system. The motor actuators are available in 12 and 24 Volts DC and with a clockwise (CW) and counter clockwise (CCW) rotation direction at various angle settings as request by OE.
